Whoa.
Fucking hilarious.
Let's see. Thursday was the usual - Allan using the N word before I'd been there 5 minutes (and I smacked him), Aunt Diane entertained me (and everyone came to the conclusion that I'd be like her when I get older...and am a little bit now), lots of food, etc. They tried to give me hell about the dents in my hood, but quit after I explained what happened. They tried to talk Jeff off the ledge about the gun, but discovered that the caliber he wanted made the price higher.
On Friday I took some clothes to the consignment shop, and met Moe (a lady I met through Beth and the other ladies on one of the "rogue" message boards) up there to get the cat stuff she's been saving for me since her elderly cat died. So nice of her. Lots of canned food for Baby, a small bag of dry food, treats, toys, and a small box of litter. Didn't take me long to go through the dry food, and the litter's almost gone. We went ahead and went to the grocery store. Had to get all my chores done, since Sunday would be an all day thing.
On Saturday, not much went on. Did my chores. Jeff went to Lowe's and came back with a knife for me. That's love! Heh.
Sunday, went out to (fucking) Gwinnett early to go to the gun show. Nothing there for me. Jeff found a couple like what he wanted, but the prices were higher. In the middle of the search, he pointed out some S&W .38s. I picked up many guns, but none were the same. I want the Taurus and that's it. Plus, S&W are more than I want to pay. He said, "What does that matter, you're not paying for it." What what WHAT?!?!?!? I was not aware of this. Oh well. We may go back out to that store, though their website says mine is out of stock. Of course, it said this the day we went out there. So, unless they sold it before we got home, they don't update their website very often.
No politics came up, thank gods. We did watch End of Days, which MIL thought was "a bunch of crap." I agree, but not for the same reasons. Well, the movie itself was ok, especially with Gabriel Byrne, but the religious context was ridiculous. Especially the whole Ahnold found jeebus crap at the end. MIL covered her eyes through the sex and violence, and didn't like the language, the best parts! Anyway. Jeff's niece was there with her spawn. She didn't make that much noise, luckily. We did have a discussion about her worthless husband while she and Jeff were out looking at her POS car. She's still better off than my dumbass sister.
Then I made the mistake of saying something like "thank the lord, or whoever" when saying that my sister does not have a baby in comparing her to Jeff's niece. Damn. Didn't mean to insinuate that I'm a christian. They already assume.
An addition to the list of things I've been called on message boards - sick, whore, and now...code monkey! Woo! Yeah, this from an asshat who likes to go on about how his money and intellect make us so beneath him. WTFever.
So I voted in the run-off election. Only took 5 minutes. Woo! While I was voting, got a call on my cell. Checked it when I left, and it was my allergy doctor's office. Turns out my referral has expired, and I'll need a new one for my appointment tomorrow. Ugh. Call my PCP, left a message. The recording said they'd mail it to me in 48 hours, or the doctor could fax a request. Well, they won't do that. Makes no damn sense. I got a little irate with the allergy doc's office. Oops. They're right down the fucking street from my PCP, why must this be so difficult? And why am I just learning about this now? Anyway, got the PCP's office to enter it and fax it over. Wouldn't go in for the normal year since my insurance is changing on 1/1. Fucking annoying. I'm supposed to get a new card sometime this month, and I'll have to have the PCP re-do everything and request a continuation of treatment...or something. Same with the GYN and my rechecks for abnormal cells. I'll have the last of a year of 3 month checks today, then go to 6 months. Fingers crossed.

In better news, my pendant sold! I only found out because someone posted on the message board about selling jewelry, and I mentioned having it on consignment for over a year. Then I bumped the old thread. Someone who works there PMed me and asked if I brought it in, and that she thinks it sold. Wow. Nice to be kept in the loop. I called, and it did. Now I probably can't get out there until Friday to get my check, then I'll have to deposit it at my pain in the ass to get to credit union.
The ranting never ends.
