Piece of shit.
Baby is getting demanding with this food thing. She demands food any time she wants, will not eat it if it's sat out for too long, and sometimes won't eat it if I've refrigerated it and then nuked it (only 5 seconds). I gave her tuna yesterday, too, and the type I'd bought was large solid chunks, so I broke it up with my fingers. Spoiled rotten diva. Whatever. Jeff says she's pushing it, I say she gets whatever she wants.
Health/insurance update - my last results were normal. Woo! So that's a year after my cryotherapy. Now I'll have to have 2 rechecks next year. After that, not sure. Another good thing - with the new HMO I won't need referrals to see specialists! So that eliminates a layer of bureaucracy with the allergist, especially since he (and my dermatologist, PCP, and gynecologist) are all in network. Such a relief. I'll probably get refills, and will definitely get allergy shots by 12/31 just in case. Otherwise, all I have to do is give them my new card when I go back in.
My Dad called me on Wednesday night at 10:30. I'd managed to go to bed at a decent hour (9ish), and the call sprung me out of bed. Like when I'm on call. (Just part of the stress of that.) Some kid that lives with my Granddad and his wife (niece or something?) has a school play. Great. I could barely mumble out, "Hello?" and then "Why are we just now learning this?" "Oh, Barb just reminded me that you were coming, so I wanted to call you in case you'd made plans..." Oh well. I can at least drop off the old C0mcast equipment, which is a pain in the ass itself.
Oh, and I have no tachometer, no speedometer, no gas gauge. I do have the fuel used, so I can guess by that. He finally called the warranty company and took my car Wednesday afternoon to remove the instrument panel. He was told it would take 3 days to receive the rebuilt unit. And also, my blinkers don't work. I didn't discover this until I was well on my way to work. Shit. I use those things a lot. And I don't change lanes like an asshole, either, but I have to do a lot of merging. Well, I guess I'll have to change lanes like an asshole now, without blinkers. At least my brake lights still work.
Oh yeah. My sister is pregnant. Way to go. I figured it was only a matter of time. She always seemed nonchalant about it, even when I was trying to help her with prevention. Her mom said she told her she was happy for her. Sorry, I am not.
And to think, I'd just been saying when comparing her to Jeff's niece's situation, that I was glad she didn't have a baby. So much for that. She was already pregnant when I said that last month.
