yay, pharmaceuticals

Wow. But we do have our own problems here in the US. Not of that severity, but still.

4/30
Still without my PC. Tomorrow (5/1) will be two weeks. getting annoyed. I know he has a very demanding job with lots of hours, and two kids and a wife, but damn.

My throat was a little scratchy on Thursday. Must be some type of flu!!! Bird flu, swine flu, or flu flu? Probably the fact that two trees on my list are spewing forth pollen now.

Friday was worse. Got a facial, worked out anyway. Nothing strenuous, though. Got my PC back. I have no more idea what the problem is than I did before. He did give me some suggestions to help with other errors and speed. I'll get a new internal drive and back everything up, anyway. At least I won't have to do a rush job. The thought of that was stressing me out. I'm hoping Leigh's husband can help me with that stuff, as he's offered. My other friend's husband has a very demanding job, 10-12 hour days, and like one weekend off a month, so I can understand the delay. Not that Ken isn't busy, but I could at least take it to their shop(pe) and have him help me in stages.

Skipped class on Saturday. Went nowhere but the grocery store. I wanted some juice. Went nowhere else until Tuesday morning, when I went to the drug store to get prednisone. Yep, it's down to that. I started Zyrtec on Friday, upped my Flonase on Saturday, drank lots of fluids, napped, stayed mostly in the bedroom away from the cats, did the neti pot, and felt progressively worse. Now I feel a bit better in spurts, then something (usually acetaminophen) wears off.

Wednesday. Working at home, for a while anyway. Re-ran part of my quarterly report. The other team's portion may be (or may have been) jacked up. Oh, goody. Hopefully the new numbers are ok to be sent off. I have some time before the due date, at least. I should have known that my last time to run the thing in the old system would be a pain in the ass.

I worked until about lunch, then had had enough. I'm going to try to go in tomorrow. I'm not supposed to work at home twice in a row, but I've seen other people doing it. On my team, even. My boss has told me it's against the rules. Luckily he had no problem with me working at home Friday, taking sick leave Monday and Tuesday, then teleworking/sick leave today. I have to work at home on Friday so I can take Buzz to the vet in the morning. Again.

I think I forgot to mention his status. He's on a prescription dry food, regular food mixture. He never ate more than a half can of the canned food, which was nowhere near enough. I have nearly a whole bag of the dry food, but I'm not sure how long I should do the mixture. I'll eventually give him only his regular food, which will probably mean an adjustment (increase) in his insulin dosage. I am able to return the 4 cans I have left, but I can't return an opened bag of food, unfortunately. Shit's expensive, too. I could try to mix it with everyone else's food, but they probably won't like it any more than he does. And it's damn expensive.

OK, gotta go do my chores. Yeah, probably didn't help my condition on Sunday when I vacuumed, brushed the cats that would allow it, etc. I needed to bathe the stinking dog, but after all that I felt like shit. Gotta be done, though.
